Welcome, baby Charlie!
I have been doing photography for over 6 years but baby Charlie was one of my first Fresh 48 sessions. Being I photograph all stages of motherhood, I knew telling the very beginning of the baby’s story would be so heartwarming! Charlie ( Charles Daniel Jurisich – 7lb 14oz – 19 1/4 in) was born on February 21, 2020 to parents Caroline, Joel and big brother Max. I especially love his name, as his great-grandfather ( also my grandfather) was also named Charles and carries sweet sentiment.
Since these are time sensitive sessions, I photographed him the day after he was born (“Fresh 48”, within the first 48 hours after birth). Sessions always take place in the hospital or birthing center, this one being in Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, La. Their patient rooms are spacious and have amazing window light, something every photographer loves.
I photograph these sessions in a storytelling manner, and it’s important to me to be able to capture my clients full story. Meeting a sibling for the first time is so special and I am happy I could capture that emotion and Max’s love for his little brother already.
A Sibling Gift
Before leaving, Max’s parents gave him a present from his new brother Charlie. How fitting it was this camera to take photos of his new brother. My photographer heart was loving this and already plan to invest in some of these neat cameras for my nieces and nephews. He was so proud taking photos of him!
The extended family was there bringing big brother Max to visit, so I was happy I got moments of them holding and admiring the new baby as well.
